The challenge was to design a short-term rental suite of 182 sqft / 17m2. We had to make it so attractive that the client could still charge top dollar for his investment with quality materials that would last for years.

Wooden shutters originated the concept we developed for this short-term rental project.
These shutters have been traditionally used in many Puerto Vallarta homes since the 1960s, and they are great for controlling light, noise, airflow, and temperature.

Even though the location is not close to the beach, we wanted to give the guests a tropical stay, using local materials and creating this wardrobe that projects beautiful shadows on the bed.

The old architectural structure was already dictated by certain measurements in its structural axes, the idea was to connect the existing spaces through openings and doors that allowed the surface to be doubled.
